Dear Colleagues,
We have started the preparations for our 45th National Radiology Congress, which will be held this year at Antalya Pine Beach Belek Congress Centre between 12 - 16 November 2024. I hope to be together at the TURKRAD 2024 congress, which is organised by the Turkish Society of Radiology and will be held on the 100th anniversary of the foundation of our Society this year. On behalf of the congress organising committee, I am pleased to invite all of you to our congress.
Our congress scientific committee is working very hard to create a comprehensive scientific programme which includes current topics and innovations in our field with interactive courses and workshops together with basic educational courses. This year the main topic of our congress is ‘Pain from Head to Toe’ and the side topic is ‘The Next Century of Radiology’. We will have the opportunity to discuss the current situations and future applications in detail with many experienced speakers in their fields.
The Turkish Society of Radiology, one of the oldest professional organisations of our country, which was founded in Istanbul in 1924 under the name of ‘Turkish Electrophysiology Society’ after the proclamation of our Republic held its very first National Congress in Istanbul on 15-17 September 1966. Since then, 44 national congresses have been organised. This year, I think we will have the opportunity to review the history and development of radiology in Turkey and also in our Society in more detail with various sessions, exhibitions as well as scientific activities at our 45th National Congress of Radiology. We will also experience the justified pride and excitement of being a member of the Turkish Society of Radiology.
